Real Shadows for Mere Bodies is a two-person exhibition with artist Arden Surdam featuring video, photography, and sculpture. Made in situ, the site-specific sculptures feature draped, scroll-like photographs showing the corresponding space to which they face, thereby creating pseudo-mirror images of their surroundings. A video (Surface Tension) explores digital representations of women viewing, performing, and embodying representations of women, such as women leading statuary makeup tutorials. Projected onto a waterfall fountain, the moving imagery is viewed through a stream of water.
